abi in the sea

Yoga, wine, and the wild – this is where my heart and expertise meet in a glorious, slightly rebellious fusion. After years of teaching yoga, diving deep into the world of wine and guiding outdoor experiences, I’ve learned that movement, community and nature connection are like three magical threads. When woven together, they don’t just relax you – they wake you up in the best possible way.

With a playful and intuitive approach, I guide people back to their inner wisdom – through stillness, movement and a generous splash of presence (sometimes with wine, sometimes without). I hold space for women who juggle a million things – mamas, creatives, seekers – and people who want a safe, fun and sacred place to exhale and reconnect.

The road to VINOYASA

My love for movement, wine, and the wild didn’t come from a single moment – it was a journey, full of twists, turns and plenty of adventure.

After extensive travels around South America, I landed in Barcelona, where my yoga journey began with my first mentor, Devrah. She taught me in studios and under open skies, blending discipline with freedom. That spark led me to India, where I studied traditional Mysore Ashtanga with the Three Mysore Sisters, immersing myself in the roots of this ancient practice.

Next stop: Costa Rica. I completed my 200-hour Hatha and Iyengar certification at the Miriam Wells School of Yoga, surrounded by lush jungles, crashing waves and the endless rhythm of nature. It was here, between surf sessions and sunset yoga flows, that VINOYASA started taking shape – movement, wine and nature woven together in a way that felt completely right.

Back in the UK, my curiosity pulled me into new realms. I completed the Call of the Wild course, diving deep into outdoor leadership and nature connection. The more I explored, the more I realised that the wild – like yoga – has its own way of teaching us.

And then there was wine. Not just drinking it (though, obviously, that was involved), but truly understanding it – from soil to sip. I enrolled at the South West Wine School to study with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), unlocking the secrets of vineyards, terroir and the deeply sensory experience of wine.

After five years of teaching, in 2024 I returned to India to complete my 300-hour advanced yoga training in Ashtanga, Hatha, and Vinyasa. I’m now a fully registered 500-hour yoga teacher – but more than any certification, it’s the experience of movement, stillness and wild connection that fuels everything I do.

VINOYASA is the result of all these threads woven together – a space for people to move, sip and reconnect with themselves in a way that feels real, joyful and alive.

And if you’re here, something tells me you’re ready to dive in.

Blending the sacred and the profane

VINOYASA is where yoga, wine, and wild adventures collide – because who says mindfulness can’t come with a side of mischief? Whether you’re flowing on the mat, sipping a well-earned glass of something delicious or soaking up the beauty of untamed nature,VINOYASA experiences are designed to help you unwind, have fun and remember what it feels like to be fully alive.

What I believe

VINOYASA isn’t about rigid rules or picture-perfect poses. It’s about rolling out a mat in the fresh air, sharing a glass of wine with great company and letting nature work its magic. It’s about the joy of moving your body, savouring the moment and reconnecting with what truly makes you feel alive.

Why I hold this space

Hi, I’m Abi. My journey didn’t start in a studio or a vineyard – it started outdoors, on the beaches and moors of Devon. Nature has always been home. That connection shaped VINOYASA, and it’s what I share through every experience.

I do this because I bloody love it – sharing the magic of movement, the ritual of wine and the wisdom of the wild.

I’m a freedom-chaser. Working for someone else? Never been my style. Sitting still? Also not my strong suit. I thrive on adventure – whether it’s through breathwork, movement or gathering with friends over a yummy bottle of wine.

I live with an open heart – always learning, always connecting with nature, always bringing people together. Saying yes to life, facing fears and laughing along the way – these are my guiding lights. They help me show up for myself and for the incredible communities I serve.

I have a knack for making you feel at home – whether that’s on the mat, in the vineyard or waist-deep in the ocean. I create experiences that sparkle with joy, curiosity and just the right amount of challenge – whether that’s an assisted headstand, a cold-water dip or the courage to not like my wine recommendation!

At the heart of everything I do is an ancient truth: humans have always gathered – to move, to share a drink, to honour the wild world around us. These rituals aren’t trends; they’re in our bones. I’m just here to bring them back to life in a way that feels fresh, fun, and totally you.

The VINOYASA transformation

After a session, retreat or wild adventure with VINOYASA, you won’t just feel relaxed – you’ll feel reconnected. With your body. With the natural world. With the part of you that knows how to slow down and savour life.

Expect:
✨ A deep exhale.
✨ A body that feels good to live in.
✨ A mind that’s a little clearer, a little calmer.
✨ A spark of confidence, knowing you deserve this joy.

You’ll walk away feeling lighter, braver and, above all, more authentically YOU.

The values that drive VINOYASA

The VINOYASA way

Community first: whether we’re sharing a bottle of wine or a breath in silence, this is about togetherness. We create spaces where connections flourish, laughter flows and everyone feels at home.

Rooted in nature: we don’t just practice in nature; we practice with it. From the vineyards to the coastline, the wild is our co-teacher, reminding us to slow down and breathe it all in.

Sustainable at heart: good choices for the planet, always. From the wines we pour to the way we move through the land, we tread lightly, honouring the earth that holds us.

Inspire and be inspired: every experience is an invitation to awaken something new. We believe curiosity is contagious, and when we show up with open hearts, magic happens.

Nurturing growth: this isn’t just about relaxation; it’s about transformation. Through movement, stillness and connection, we create space for expansion – in body, mind and spirit.

Free spirit energy: playfulness, adventure and a little bit of rebellion are always welcome. Because life’s too short for rigid rules – let’s move, sip, and explore on our own terms.
